Milkwood Permaculture Soil Top Up. Help needed!

Hey Sydneysiders – who wants to help get the Soil Up Top at the 107 Rooftop Garden this Saturday morning, bright and early?
This is a callout for fit and fabulous folk who are up for a morning of goodness, with celebrity visitors and a free lunch at the end. Milkwood Permaculture have nearly completed a roof top oasis, but need help carrying 12 cubic meters of soil from the road to the Roof top Garden, in 3 and a half hours. They need all the help they can get!
A morning of exercise, fun and hard work will be paid off for with a free lunch and celebrity visits!

Where: 107 Projects, Redfern St, Redfern, Sydney.
When: 8am sharp Saturday 27th September, 2014
Cost: FREE! plus you get a free lunch once the soil has been moved from the street to the roof top garden.

In her talk, Nicole will cover: Energy Return on Investment ("EROI") - The Elephant in the Room!, why localised action is worth the effort, how to prioritize local investment in the real economy, barter networks, time-banking, tool and seed libraries and gifting, Permaculture and food security and examples of how existing communities around the world are succeeding with similar strategies.

The Nature Conservation Council of NSW (NCC of NSW) seeks a dedicated staff member for their coal and gas campaigns. You would work with our members, supporters and the broader community on the Central Coast to build support for environmentally and socially responsible public policy in relation to mining and gas. Recruiting and supervising volunteers, you'd also collaborate with associated members and work actively to expand and engage a network of supporters and campaign partners.

Location: Central coast, NSW.
Salary: $55,000 - $60,000 pa. plus super.

Put your concerns into action! You can help motivate communities to demand climate action at Australian Climate Action Summit this year. Over the two-day summit, you will have the opportunity to talk with successful campaigners about a clean energy future. The activist panel comes from all around Australia and across different sectors, including George Monbiot, Drew Hutton, Prof. Lesley Hughes, Cate Faehrmann MP, Fiona Armstrong, Simon Butler and Tony Mohr. Before the Summit, you may join the Friday night forum at the NSW Parliament House to discuss and explore community climate action through the law and media. The guest panel includes Michelle Maloney, Larissa Waters, Jane Rawson and Graham Readfearn.
