Newtown Neighbourhood Centre’s (NNC) annual fundraiser event is back again for 2015! Newtown Festival boasts the vibrant creative, conscientious and inclusive community of Newtown, and will showcase a range of eco initiatives that reflect this originality and diversity.

GET RED-Y FOR TOMATO FESTIVAL 2015. The 2015 Festival will move down to the Band Lawn, where you can immerse yourself in the buzz of activity and revel in the surroundings with a wide range of local and organic produce for sale, pop-up cafe and bar, themed guided walks and children’s activities including hands-on pizza making, cherry tomato and spoon race! Put your palate to the test and be a judge for the best tomato variety, over 20 varieties to taste!

Corroboree Sydney 2014

Corroboree Sydney 2014

Sydney’s second Corroboree festival features tours of major cultural institutions, an indigenous arts market and a film program. The largely free event will conclude with a free outdoor performance by Bangarra Dance Theatre on the Sydney Opera House forecourt, to celebrate their 25th anniversary. The Australian Museum’s new exhibition Corrobborree Sydney is featuring a range of workshops and classes in conjunction with the festival, including Aboriginal Storytelling, an Education Program and a Behind the Scenes Tour.

Vivid Sydney Returns

24 May to 10 June, 2013
Vivid Sydney is returning for a fifth year as a ‘must see’ global festival boasting a greater variety of creative light, music and innovative ideas and technology. More than 60 immersive light installations and 3D projections will be featured upon Sydney Opera House sails, Customs House, Cadman’s Cottage and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA). For the first time, the festival will be extended to the Darling Harbour precinct. Vivid Light will transform Darling Harbour into a spectacle of dancing water fountains, water screen projection performances and dazzling light and water shows. The Sydney Harbour Bridge will continue to be the centrepiece with a spectacular display of light every night during the festival. Vivid Sydney is an environmentally responsible event committing to low energy consumption and low carbon emissions. It is an ultimate incorporation of creativity, technology and sustainability.
