Overfed & Undernourished – Film Premiere

From 2 June, 2014

Over 70% of foods we consume on a daily basis are processed, and according to the World Health Organisation, if current trends continue one billion people will be obese by 2030; which means our population is heading for an exponentially increasing number of health problems.

The revolutionary documentary, Overfed & Undernourished, is interspersed with interviews and advice from leading health and wellbeing experts from around the globe, and provides the audience with simple solutions to improve the quality of their own diet, lifestyle, and personal bonds, and asks the fundamental question – are we really nourishing ourselves? The message in the film follows the powerful, positive, raw, open and honest story of 11 year old Liam – weighing over 80kg – who seeks help from his aunty and uncle.

The Premiere events in Brisbane and Melbourne include a health exhibition from 6pm, with the film starting at 7pm, and a Q&A held after the film.

Where/When:
Brisbane Premiere: Queensland Multicultural Centre, 102 Main St, Kangaroo Point, @ 6pm Monday 2 June.
Melbourne Premiere: The Astor Theatre, Corner Chapel Street & Dandenong Road, @ 6pm Tuesday 3 June.
World Premiere: Wednesday 4 June.
Cost: General (incl. movie ticket, entry to exhibition & Q&A): $15. VIP (incl. movie ticket, entry to exhibition, Q&A, access to VIP seating, and the film on DVD): $40.
