Ranger Group Coordinators – Central Land Council

Vacancies exist for Coordinators of established Aboriginal community ranger groups in the CLC region. The preferred applicants will have a good mix of practical hands-on NRM skills, a demonstrated awareness of issues faced by remote Aboriginal communities, strong communication skills and demonstrated experience in coordinating a small team (indigenous land management or landcare group) to achieve successful on-ground outcomes. The positions are based in remote Aboriginal communities working closely with traditional owners.

Location: Regional, Northern Territory.
Working hours: Full time.
Salary: Base Salary of $67,058 - $83,199.

The Secretariat of National Aboriginal and Islander Child Care (SNAICC) is the national peak body for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children and Families. SNAICC is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Training and Resource Officer to assist in the delivery of current training programs for staff in early childhood and child and family welfare services. You will contribute to the design, development and delivery of new SNAICC Training Packages. Regular travel nationally is required.

Location: North Fitzroy, Melbourne, Vic.
Working hours: Full-time.
Salary: $62-67,000 + 9.25% Super (Salary Packaging offered $16,050 tax free, & meals entertainment)

Controversy has erupted around around the The Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation applying for a licence to store the waste in an 800 square metre interim warehouse at Lucas Heights from 2015. Locals are angry and Australian governments are reluctant to find a proper storage facility. It's an out of sight, out of mind policy.
