Tomato Festival Sydney

14 – 15 February, 2015

GET RED-Y FOR TOMATO FESTIVAL 2015. The 2015 Festival will move down to the Band Lawn, where you can immerse yourself in the buzz of activity and revel in the surroundings with a wide range of local and organic produce for sale, pop-up cafe and bar, themed guided walks and children’s activities including hands-on pizza making, cherry tomato and spoon race! Put your palate to the test and be a judge for the best tomato variety, over 20 varieties to taste!

Being Together, Becoming Sustainable

'Being Together, Becoming Sustainable' is a practical, short course that offers creative workshops to encourage a change in our relationship with the earth and promote a sustainable way of living. Eight workshops are to be delivered by skilled experts from CERES, OASES Graduate School, The Groupwork Institute and more! In the course you will engage in experiential activities to develop a rich relationship with the Earth.

Perfect Potion Workshops

Rita Balshaw, the store manager at Perfect Potion's Bondi branch, is running workshops suitable for anyone who is interested in holistic living. Rita, who is celebrating the release of her book Hippies in the City will be traveling to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to run workshops on aromatherapy, healthy cooking and DIY skincare.

Learn about seed saving, foraging for edible weeds and swap items for seeds all at once with Milkwood Permaculture. ‘Seed Circus’ is a one-day event of learning, swapping, eating and meeting interesting people. This event is part of Milkwood’s Fair Share and is also a part of International Permaculture Day. Milkwood is a permaculture enterprise based near Mudgee, NSW Australia. Founded in 2007 by Kirsten Bradley and Nick Ritar with the intention to develop a small farm from scratch that would also be a working, abundant permaculture system.

The Rocks Windmill

The Rocks Windmill

Friday April 12 - Sunday May 12, 2013
A four story windmill will be erected in the iconic backdrop of The Rocks for a month long series of events that will celebrate history through art, science, culture, sustainability and more! ‘The Rocks Windmill’ will act as a functioning wheat-grind, and will be the epicenter of the events as an intimate 40-seated venue. The program also includes an array of holiday and weekend workshops, ranging from wheat-growing to discovering Shakespeare. The host of ABC's Gardening Australia, Costa Georgidais, will be making an appearance alongside the various displays, as will artist and forager Diego Bonetto.

Cost: Most events are free, but spaces are limited and bookings are required.
