Victorian Fair Trade Festival

This year, Moral Fairground has organised a number of exciting and thought provoking events in partnership with supportive Melbourne based organisations, non-for-profits and social enterprises.

8th – Friday 22nd May.

Melbourne based social enterprise, Moral Fairground, is once again running the Victorian Fair Trade Festival across Melbourne which will include a series of events designed for Victorians to celebrate the annual Fair Trade Fortnight. A fortnight which is celebrated globally, with events, festivals and activities happening all around the world to celebrate the Fair Trade movement and campaign for justice in trade practices and promote sustainable environment and social responsibility.

This year, Moral Fairground has organised a number of exciting and thought provoking events in partnership with supportive Melbourne based organisations, non-for-profits and social enterprises. A variety of events will be happening across cultural Melbourne, including Northcote, Brunswick and the City. The events will provide locals and visitors with the opportunity to embrace the Victorian Fair Trade Festival in a variety of experience locally to in-turn act global.

Events and program will take place between Friday 8th – Friday 22nd May, 2015 during International Fair Trade Fortnight.

The festival provides the opportunity to celebrate and learn about fair and conscious trading in entertaining and interactive ways. There will be B2B networking events for entrepreneurs, cinema nights to encourage debate and discussion, live music, fair-trade ‘From Morning to Night’ exhibitions, local Fair Trade Event Trail events, a Fair Trade Market and fair-trade school education programs. The festival is a yearly reminder to the public that every purchase matters and that individuals can take actions locally and make social impacts globally.
