Warru (Black-flanked Rock Wallaby) Recovery Officer - APYLM

Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Land Management (APYLM) helps to manage - along with traditional owners - the more than 103,000 square kilometres of arid land in the far northwest of South Australia. The Warru Recovery Officer will be responsible for the development and day-to-day coordination and supervision of a small team of Indigenous Rangers in accordance with approved plans within the Working on Country Project: Caring for Warru on the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands. The position supports the use of Indigenous ecological knowledge and contemporary land management practices to manage two colonies of black-flanked rock wallabies.

Location: Umuwa, Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands, SA.
Salary: $60,000(approx.)base salary, plus district allowance, annual airfare, superannuation, annual leave loading and opportunity for salary packaging.
