Newtown Festival 2013

Free Music, fresh food, warm australian summer outdoors and manditory biodegradable packaging!

10 November, 2013

The Newton Festival has been kicking around for some time now, in case you hadn't heard of it yet, or only after reading this remembered it was held early in November, get excited for a treat. The highlight bands include; Dappled Cities, The Snowdroppers, TUKA&The Big Basement Band and plenty of up and comers that are known for ripping with a mic and fiddle.

But apart from a free festival having a line up that you would expect to fork out $100+ a ticket they also do something else exciting: The Newtown Festival celebrates environmentalism by having a ton of 'Green' stalls and maintaining an old vendetta against unnecessary packaging *packaging.

You will be drinking local, fresh, tap-water and can learn about the latest techniques to manage your urban household environment impact. Join a cycling organization after reeving FREE BICYCLE VALET PARKING or just do a lap of the park on a stall's demo bike. Chuck your biodegradable wrapper of a delicious vegan burger into the GIANT-ONSITE-WORMFARM, all while listening to great music pumped out by Biodiesel generators.

When: From 9.30am – 5.30pm, Sunday November 10, 2013.
Where: Camperdown Memorial Rest Park, Newtown, Sydney, NSW.
