Environmental Sustainability Officer

Currently we are looking for an Environmental Sustainability Officer to be based at our Dinmore Plant. Reporting to the Group Environment Manager your brief is simple, develop, deliver and maintain a sustainability program for the business.

•Develop and deliver a sustainability program for the business
•Integrate the sustainability program into our environmental management system and programs.
•Liaising with internal and external stakeholders you will be responsible for the following
•Defining the sustainability program and initiatives
•Monitoring and evaluation of environmental risk and environmental performance projects and drive bench marking activities
•Coach, train and advise colleagues on sustainability.
•Promote a culture of sustainable development and improvements
•Maintain records, prepare statistics, write reports and investigate complaints
•Auditing and compliance management will also be an essential part of the role.
•Provide technical advice and practical solutions for effective environmental management to all JBS sites.

•Experience with commonwealth reporting (NPI, EEO, NGER)
•Relevant tertiary qualifications in environmental science or related discipline.
•Be able to demonstrate an extensive track record in sustainability management and relevant legislation.
•Developed a sustainability programme from scratch.
•Have previously worked within a large multi-site business, with a focus on asset maintenance and programme delivery.
•Experienced in project management would be highly regarded
•A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar position.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Drivers Licence and the ability to travel
•Salary and package will depend on experience
