Coconut water is a great hydrator, and it's packed with potassium, antioxidants and more. With the prevalence of colds and flus in the cooler months, it's important to look after yourself properly if you're sick, or to avoid getting sick in the first place. So, here are some wholesome smoothie recipes that will help cure any onset of the winter blues.

There are a range of great coconut water brands now available in Australia. You can use any brand you like in the recipes below, but they've been formulated for the fresh, crisp and smooth taste of Meko 100% Pure Coconut Water, which isn't made from concentrate or frozen, doesn't have added flavour or sugar, and is sourced from a stable supply of young coconut palms in Thailand.

– ¼ cup shredded coconut
– 1/2 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or frozen)
– ½ banana

Method:
1. Combine coconut water, shredded coconut, oats in a bowl, cover and soak overnight. (The soaking process aids digestibility, but it can be skipped.)
2. Add the pineapple and banana to the mixture and process in a high power blender for 30-45 seconds. Top with shredded coconut.
