Client Service Officer - Ethical Investment

6 month minimum full time contract

We seek a self-motivated Client Service Officer to join our talented team who can assist by providing superior client services as well as support to our Business Development and Client Relations function.

* Ensure current and prospective clients have a consistent, positive client relationship experience through delivery of outstanding service
* Actively manage the Superannuation enquiries inbox to ensure all client questions and requests are responded to in a timely and professional manner
* Follow up superannuation rollover requests and superannuation guarantee commitments to meet target levels
* Manage calls to members to activate accounts and maintain accurate records
* Execute the managed funds application and Green ID process
* Liaise with our administration provider to ensure service levels are maintained
* Develop strong relationships with Australian Ethical’s clients and actively promote our services
* Within our existing client base effectively initiate cross-sell and up-sell activities to clients promoting our products and services
* Actively prospect for new leads and business relationship opportunities
* Meet agreed activity targets and performance goals
* Develop an understanding of Australian Ethical’s suite of managed fund and superannuation products, including product features, risk profiles, asset allocations, fees, costs and investment philosophy to current and prospective clients
* Demonstrate the ability to apply legislation, policies and procedures and explain relevant issues to our clients as required
* Action day-to-day operational and administrative tasks as the role requires


* ASIC RG 146 for superannuation and managed funds
* Extensive experience in client communications including highly effective verbal, written, negotiation and problem solving skills
* Well-developed understanding of client service principles
* Report writing experience and the ability to input and extract data from databases
* Sound understanding of records management and archiving processes
* A high level of interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
* Ability to work in a small team environment demonstrating appropriate and professional workplace behaviours
* Interest and commitment to ethical and environmental issues

* Degree in Business or Finance
