Sales and Reservation Agent/Mainland

Multi award winning Kingfisher Bay Resort Group operating on world heritage listed Fraser Island, is seeking a Sales and Reservation Agent to join their team based in our Central Reservations Centre in Hervey Bay.

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager and the Reservations Manager, this customer service and sales focused role is responsible for taking reservations for Kingfisher Bay Resort, Fraser Explorer Tours and Fraser Island Barges.

This is a live off island role, if you are not local to Hervey Bay you will need to be willing to relocate for the position.

Candidates must be flexible to a 7 days a week, 365 day a year roster, reflective of the hospitality industry.

About the opportunity:

•Promptly attending incoming telephone reservations from guests and agents in a highly professional manner
•Actioning Internet, email and fax reservations
•Input reservations data into relevant operating systems
•Liaising with local, retail, wholesale and inbound travel agents and actioning their reservations
•Providing up to date and accurate information about the product and area to clients and providing information and making reservations for external activities and services
•Providing accurate quotations and details of all services
•Up selling and offering alternatives and obtaining maximum sales while ensuring customer satisfaction
•Working to correct policies and procedures to guarantee work is completed to the highest standard and satisfaction
•Liaising and communicating with guests, agents and various departments and Managers
•General office duties including, filing, banking, faxing and copying

The successful applicant will display exceptional:
•Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google and Googledox
•Customer service skills and a professional manner
•Ideally, you'll have previous experience in a call centre, reservations or tourism environment and in using reservations software
•Working within a fast paced team environment, the position requires you to be able to show initiative, high attention to detail and be able to handle yourself well in high pressure situations while still maintaining high level customer service
•Excellent organisational and time management skills are required to be able to work to achieve targets and meet deadlines
