Waverley is a diverse and innovative Council located in the heart of Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. Our General Manager is leading an exciting program of organisational change to position Waverley as one of the leading Local Government Areas in NSW. Taking in some of Sydney's most beautiful and iconic beaches including the world famous Bondi Beach, and encompassing a part of Sydney's Global economic corridor at Bondi Junction, Waverley Council is an amazing place to broaden your career.

In this position you will be responsible for supporting the achievement of Council’s Environmental targets and ambitions through community engagement and sustainability education initiatives and projects. You will deliver inspiring environmental engagement programmes for Waverley residents.

To be successful in this role you need to have great communication and engagement skills and proven experience of delivering projects so you can hit the ground running. A sound understanding of current environmental issues relevant to local government, and demonstrated theoretical and practical understanding of behavior change and education for sustainability. You will have excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills and demonstrated experience in working with community groups, as well as a proven ability to coordinate the development, delivery and evaluation of effective change programs.
