Environment and Heritage Advisor - $112K

Dampier Based

$112,000 + Location + Housing + Superannuation

The Environment & Heritage Advisor is responsible for monitoring and reporting on the performance and integrity of environmental and heritage issues within the jurisdiction of the Port and ensuring the PPA complies with statutory requirements whilst aiming for best practice environment and heritage management.

Qualifications
•Tertiary qualifications in an applicable Science, Engineering or related discipline.

Work-related Requirements (also known as selection criteria)
•Demonstrated environment and heritage experience in a port or industrial setting.
•Experience in undertaking, managing and improving environmental monitoring programs.
•An ability to assess operational activities to identify environment and heritage issues and recommend practical management measures.
•Excellent understanding and applied experience of State, Commonwealth and international environment and heritage legislation and standards.
•Experience in Environmental Management Systems to ISO14001 standard.
•Highly developed written and verbal communication skills including the ability to achieve clarity and outcomes through consultation, negotiation and constructive influence.
•Knowledge and experience in project management (desirable).

Sound computing skills, as well as the ability to gain a Maritime Security Identification Card, and WA Driver’s Licence are prerequisites for positions with PPA.
