The 2015 Festival will move down to the Band Lawn, where you can immerse yourself in the buzz of activity and revel in the surroundings with a wide range of local and organic produce for sale, pop-up cafe and bar, themed guided walks and children’s activities including hands-on pizza making, cherry tomato and spoon race! Put your palate to the test and be a judge for the best tomato variety, over 20 varieties to taste!

Green School, Bali

The 'Greenest School on Earth' visits Australia and opens scholarship competition

March 5 to April 22, 2013
Green School, which was recently crowned "Greenest School on Earth" by the Center for Green Schools, is giving students the opportunity to win a one-year scholarship in Bali, Indonesia. The online competition is open to students aged 3-18. All you have to do is submit a 2-3 minute video of any green projects you are involved in, and why you think you're the "greenest student on earth". This competition is a great opportunity to experience new things while showing the world that students can make a positive difference in the community. Representatives from the school will also be visiting Perth and Melbourne. During the community information sessions they will discuss their revolutionary curriculum to educate and inspire children to engage with nature.

Visioning the Outdoors is calling all amateur and professional film makers to get creative whilst getting active- outside! Be it skiing, bush walking, cycling, rock climbing, surfing, skating- the list is endless- this short film competition is about celebrating the power of outdoor recreation to enrich peoples' lives AND there's prize money up for grabs. Submissions close July 20.

Where: Schonell Theatre, Bld 22/Lvl 3 Union Complex, University of Queensland, Union Road, St Lucia, Qld.
When: Awards and screening 6:30pm - 9pm, Wednesday 29th August, 2012.
