Six prized stars for sustainable design have been awarded to the third major building in the University of
Technology Sydney’s billion-dollar City Campus Master Plan by the Green Building Council of Australia.

National Recycling week is nearly here, and Planet Ark is encouraging everyone to join in, whether it be at home, school or work. Planet Ark founded National Recycling Week as an education campaign in 1996, to bring focus to recycling and minimising waste. Since then recycling has become part of our every day lives; however with the growing number of items that can be recycled, more education is required to make sure valuable resources stay away from landfill! There are popular events being run over this week that are designed to get schools, social or community groups and businesses recycling, as well as more education about recycling at home.

When: Monday 10 - Sunday 16 November, 2014.

Green Steps Manager – Monash University

The Monash Sustainability Institute (MSI) aims to improve the understanding and the interplay between society and the environment, to generate the knowledge needed to solve related complex, interdisciplinary problems, and to develop policy, management and technology options. MSI is seeking highly motivated person to fill in the position of Green Steps Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the education, training and outreach programs and activities within the Monash Sustainability Institute. Ideally, you will have a postgraduate degree in a relevant environmental field plus substantial relevant experience.
