Indi Kindi Manager, The Nangala Project

The not-for-profit Nangala Project Ltd is seeking an early learning specialist with exceptional project management and team leadership skills, together with an interest in Aboriginal education, to fill a new permanent, full-time position managing their Indi Kindi program. Indi Kindi is an innovative remote region Aboriginal early literacy project, achieving near 100 per cent participation of babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers in pilot NT bush communities since establishing in 2012. The primary responsibilities of this Sydney-based role are program development, administration, mentoring and management of our local NT-based Aboriginal staff and co-ordination of resource development.

Location: Sydney, NSW. In-community work is required for about two weeks per quarter, involving travel to remote NT communities, with all travel and secure, good standard accommodation provided.

Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands are offering the perfect job for someone with a keen interest in the ecology of central Australia and with the ability to live and operate in remote locations. This position involves facilitating a combination of Indigenous ecological knowledge and contemporary land management practices. Project manage and facilitate Anangu involvement in the delivery of on-ground work in Indigenous Protected Areas.

Location: Umuwa, APY Lands, SA.
Salary: $60,000 base salary (plus district allowance, superannuation, annual airfares, leave loading, subsidised rent).
